Now that school is back in session, we cherish our weekends. We get to sleep in, spend more time in comfy clothes, and ignore schedules if we choose. Weekends are also good for having visitors. This past weekend we enjoyed having Grandpa Randy and Grandma Lori here for a visit.

We started our Saturday with a McD's breakfast, a special treat. Claire got her first McD's toy and was thrilled!

After McD's we headed out to a few fun stores for various shopping experiences. Anna spent some time hanging out in the car with Grandma....
...while Claire slept.
Of course, it wouldn't be a weekend without a trip to Menards. The girls both love to sit in these carts now. Claire even gets a little feisty if she doesn't get to sit on the side she wants.
By far, this is Claire's favorite part of Menards.

On Sunday Mommy and Daddy got some time to work on the mudroom project. We got all the cement board laid and now the tile is next! This project might be done in the next two weeks!
And of course, with the beautiful fall weather, some time outside was mandatory.

It was a productive weekend, which always feels good. The productivity has poured over into the week already and hopefully continues as we have lots of things on our to do list!
We are looking forward to another fun weekend coming up!
