- Fearless-Anna has no fear of anything, she's a rough and tumble girl who likes to stand on chairs, climb on all kinds of furniture, and try anything new or exciting.
- Independent-Anna likes to do things herself. She wants to put her diaper in the genie, feed herself, not be carried (with some exceptions) and go where she wants to go, when she wants to go there.
- Sassy-Yes, Anna has attitude. She tends to shake her head no when you ask her to do something, whine when she wants something, and pout when she doesn't get her way.
- Funny-Anna likes to be the class clown. Whenever she finds something that we laugh at, she will repeat it over and over, always laughing at herself and expecting the same from you. She thinks she's pretty funny (and we do too). Last night at dinner she put her sippy cup in her mouth, and bit down on the sippy part and let go with her hands, holding it like a puppy dog...she found it hilarious and probably did it 15 more times, laughing equally hard every time.
- Needy-And I mean this in the best way possible. Even though she's all those things listed above, she still finds time to give hugs and kisses and cuddle. She loves to sit in our laps and read books and MUST be held so she can see when Mommy is making supper. She likes to play independently often, but sometimes can't do it by herself. She has recently discovered that she can climb onto the couches, chairs, etc but sometimes can't quite get up there and after a few tries on her own, cries for help. I love the neediness. Granted she's only 13 months old, but sometimes all this independence makes me feel un-needed, so I'm glad when she still reminds me that she's a baby. I realize this feeling of un-needed-ness will definitely increase as the months and years go by, but I will proudly stand by and watch her independence, ready to jump in when she needs me.
Happy 13 months Anna Marie. We love you!
