Playdate with Nathan

On Friday, Anna and I got up early and headed up north to Blaine to have a playdate with her friend Nathan.  We planned to go to Como Zoo and out to lunch with Nathan and his mom Renee and then when the Daddy's got off work they were coming so we could grill out that night.  It was a very enjoyable day and Anna had a great time.  Of course we got a LOT of pictures from the day.  Here are a few....

Just before we left, Anna wanted to bring her chair...she didn't want to sit in the car for the 50 minute car ride.

Checking out the ducks and flamingos at Como.  She giggled whenever she saw any of the animals.  And when she saw the lions, she tried to call them like she tries to call Pascal the kitty.

Riding on her horse.  She loved it for the first half of the ride, then all of a sudden her bottom lip stuck out and she lunged toward me...apparently she was done with the ride.

After the zoo, we went out for lunch and then headed back to their house.  The kids both took a nap and then the daddy's got there so we went outside to play!

...especially when it's toward an awesome play structure like Nathans!

Anna loved the slide, going down it many times with help from Daddy and Mommy...a few times she tried to climb up the slide herself...

...and slid down the bottom foot...she always clapped when the ride was over!

Nathan didn't really want to share with Anna, but they played together pretty nicely with it for a while.

After dinner the kids played well together again.  Nathan was really good about pushing Anna around on the car.
