It's a nice long weekend at our house, Mommy and Anna got to hang out all day Thursday and Friday. In between running errands, being lazy and taking naps, we got together with Laura and Oliver and visited the farm near our house. Anna loves animals, and on this nice cool fall morning, got to see some up close again.
Checking out the piggies from our very spacious tractor pulled wagon ride.
Anna was a little nervous at first, but she'll do anything Oliver does, and in the end she loved the wagon ride.
Two good little friends checking out the sheep...or trying to get in with them?
Oliver started climbing on the rocks, so Anna had to as well. Didn't get any pictures of that because my hands were needed to help her climb. :)
This was a very friendly cow. He gave Oliver kisses.
Kisses!
Anna just stood back in amazement.
Petting the sheep.
The highlight of the whole trip was the very exotic, rarely seen in person, farm cat. Yes, the farm cat. Both Anna and Oliver stood and stared through the gates at that cat. The lighting isn't great to see it here, but it was just a little back and white kitty who was free to go where it pleased, but chose to bask in the sun in this pen. After passing by once, Anna and Oliver both ran back a couple times to see the cat. Please note, both kids have two cats at home...
With two days left of our long weekend, I'm sure there is more adventure headed our way. Very exciting adventures like, grocery shopping, a trip to the car repair shop, and even a couple visits from furnace installers. Yes, a very exciting weekend indeed.
I was at Target last night doing shopping, and there were all these teenagers there having a blast...and I was like, "i remember those days, when going to Target with your friends on a Friday evening was a blast! now I am just here for diapers and chicken..." how exciting I am!
