How do you spell....

Our little princess has been working on her spelling, and I must say, she's getting quite good.

Mommy:  How do you spell Anna?

Anna:  b-r-a-a-a-a

Mommy: How do you spell Mommy?

Anna: b-r-a-a-a-a

Mommy: How do you spell Daddy?

Anna: b-r-a-a-a-a

Mommy: How do you spell anything?

Anna: b-r-a-a-a-a

The first three letters are pretty clean and then she fades out, adding as many extra 'a''s as is necessary depending on the word.  We believe that the spelling has been learned from hearing her almost-three-year-old friend, Britta practicing how to spell her name.  She's got the 'b-r' part down and knows it ends in 'a' but the stuff in the middle is a little fuzzy so just throw a few extra 'a's in there and you're good to go.
She's such a good little speller.

  1. That's hilarious! Brecken also likes to spell..... EVERYTHING starts with a B, is typically followed by a K, then back to B, an occasional A.... and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS a "Yaaaaaaay Brecken!" at the end just to toot his own horn :)
