After getting home from our vacation, we were excited to welcome Aunt Kate back to our house for the week! She arrived on Tuesday evening and we 'treated' to her to a neighborhood party for National Night Out. She enjoyed helping us juggle keeping track of Anna, keeping Claire happy and gathering our suppers from the BBQ. The highlight of the evening for Anna was the bounce house. She probably went in 10 times. She loved it and had to be 'kicked' out each time her turn was over.
She bounced like a pro, falling down, knocking into other kids, she loved it.
Wednesday we got to stay home and play with Aunt Kate. We did run some errands and do our school shopping. Anna got a new school backpack with Olivia on it thanks to Aunt Kate!
Some time was spent outside in the yard working on Anna's t-ball skills. Aunt Kate was a great coach!
Honestly, over the past week, Anna's swing and accuracy in actually hitting the ball has really improved! Thanks Aunt Kate!
Thursday and Friday Aunt Kate signed up for an adventure...I had training so she had planned to keep the girls for the two days at our house. She did a great job with the girls and even had an added challenge. She got to add another 4 month old baby to her responsibility list for the day. A fellow teacher didn't have a daycare option yet for these training days so Kate very kindly and bravely kept all three kiddos! She had a great day and we were all very impressed with her awesome childcare skills.
Saturday we took Kate bowling to see how her skills matched up with Anna's bowling skills and for the time being Aunt Kate is still a bit of a better bowler--but Anna's going to catch her soon!
Kate enjoyed Monday with the girls as I had another day of training. We were all very sad to see her leave on Tuesday afternoon. But, she's got another exciting year of college ahead of her, so she'll have plenty of fun adventures to share with us next time she comes to visit! Thanks for coming Aunt Kate!

In other randomness....
One fun new addition to Claire's skills this week has been her joining us for supper in her own chair. It's very reclined yet, but she has enjoyed watching everyone else during meals rather than being in her swing or kickin on the floor.
Claire was worn out after her fun days with Aunt Katie, she crashed on Daddy's shoulder.
But her cat nap didn't last long....she was back to smiles before bedtime!
Besides crazy hair, this girl has got some strong neck muscles she's been working on!
And finally, Anna is a very independent girl and loves to pick out her own clothes. I wouldn't say that she has a great fashion sense, but she sure is proud of her combinations. Here is this morning's unique combo.
Today this little honey has to go to the doctor for her 2 month appointment. We are looking forward to seeing how much she has grown; we are not looking forward to her getting shots. Big sister is very concerned about the shots...we'll see how the appointment goes; there may be lots of tears..from more than just Claire. She already looks concerned...
