Christmas #1

The weekend before Christmas, we hosted my family for a Christmas celebration.  They arrived on Friday afternoon, and we enjoyed a soup and snack supper.  Anna prepped our cheese and meat plate.

We all cuddled into the living room to open presents!  It was packed and lots of fun!

My mom made me this beautiful quilt.

On Saturday we woke up and had a yummy breakfast and enjoyed time at our house.  After nice naps for the kiddos we headed out for an adventure in Minneapolis.  It was the night of the last Holidazzle parade, so we didn't want to miss it!

The crew trekking through downtown.

Stopping for some popcorn at Candyland.

Supper at Potbelly!

Enjoying our time staying warm in the IDS tower.

Who needs a double stroller when you can both cram into a single?

My three favorites.

We found a spot on a side street with a decent view of  the parade, the street was packed.  Or at least we thought this would be a great spot...shortly after the parade started people started blocking the cross traffic on the streets so they could see....that lost us our good view, but we still enjoyed the parade!

Dad found a corner to hide from the wind to keep warm until the parade started.

Papa and Anna.

She was cold, so she borrowed my scarf.  She's so cute!

Claire was annoyed to be in her stroller.

Laner!

Hood twins!

Baby Girl.

Trying to see over the crowds.

I can't see the parade, so give me a snack instead.

Anna had a good view on Daddy's shoulders.

We got hot chocolate, that warmed us up!

It was a chilly night, but worth the adventure!

Sunday we enjoyed the morning and took some group shots before everyone headed out.

The cute kids.

Claire telling Daddy "No!"  She even points and is very stern.

Everyone telling him "No!"

Our fam of four.

We love Auntie Kate!

James, Denise, & Lane!

All the "kids"

Papa and the girls.

Sibling love.

Siblings.

Anna got ahold of grandma's camera and was taking pictures of everyone.  She even got a few selfies with grandma.

It was our first of three Christmas celebrations and it was a great start!  It was a new adventure to have Christmas at our house, and we thought it was great!

More Christmas to come....
