The past few weekends, whenever there has been free time, Brian has been busy putting together some new units for our living room. Tonight was the moment of truth; we brought them inside to be sure they fit and to be sure that we liked them before we stain and finish them.
Here is a messy version of what they will look like:
The components will all fit on the middle shelf and their cords will be run down through the secret compartment to house cords that runs down the back in the middle.
The base cabinets of each of them will have fronts eventually. The tops open like toy box lids for blanket and toy storage.
We will head out to get stain to match the fireplace tomorrow and start that process next.
I'm trying to decide if I want to paint the wall behind the shelves before we install with a darker brown to bring a little more color and interest into our house. Any readers who have recommendations, please chime in!
