Our Christmas preparations started on Thanksgiving Day. We put the tree up and decorated the house; the girls love the decorating. Here are a few pictures from the day of decorating!
Part of preparing also included lots of baking. Here was our sugar cookie making extravaganza!
Notice we had owls and bats mixed in with hearts, stars and snowmen!
Doing dishes after the cooking making!
And then of course frosting!
Christmas Eve the girls stayed home and got everything ready for our night at home together. Brian worked until 1:00 and then came home and we got ready to head to church. We got a few pictures of the girls at church.
Anna participated in the Christmas pageant, she was an angel.
Claire enjoyed singing Christmas songs with everyone.
When we got home, we got a few pictures in front of the tree.
Then the girls got to open ONE Christmas present, chosen by Mommy and Daddy.
They both got new Christmas jammies.
And a giant jar of hot cocoa!
In their jams!
Anna took a Mommy-Daddy picture for us!
After getting our jammies on, we had a Christmas Eve craft.
Gingerbread houses made of graham crackers.
Lots of fun was had and frosting was eaten!
Final product!
Then Anna prepped the plate for Santa. Cookies for Santa, carrots for reindeer.
All ready for Santa!
Christmas morning, Anna came in our room around 7:30 and said it's time!!
A little chaos of present opening!
These girls have crazy hair in the morning!
Anna got everything she asked Santa for, including her lava lamp!
Anna princess!
Charolette's Web!
Claire got finger paints and tried them out that afternoon!
Sisters painting!
The girls were very good this year and Santa brought them some very nice gifts.
It was a great couple days at home, playing with new toys and staying in our jammies.
Merry Christmas!
