This past weekend we had our first ice skating experience with the girls. We got a great Saturday invite to some friends who made their own rink in their backyard. It was pretty awesome! Anna enjoyed testing out skates and was surprisingly good for her first time trying it out! Claire checked out the ice in her boots, but then enjoyed just watching from the windows inside and playing with toys. We had been planning to 'hide' hockey from Anna and Claire until they were too old to join, but I guess that didn't happen. Anna's already been asking about getting some skates!

Both girls had fun and mom and dad had fun hanging out with friends. Now, to find some cheap hockey gear and skates...if that exists!
