Happy 5 month birthday to Anna today!
Today Anna and I went to get some 5 month pictures taken. Of course she looked adorable, but she refused to smile for the guy. She was laughing and having a good time before the photo shoot, and then as soon as she was in front of the camera, she just stared at the guy like he was creepy. Which, in her defense, he was a little goofy, but overall, he was a nice guy, trying desperately to get her to smile. And of course, as soon as he would put the big heavy camera down she would laugh as though to say, "haha, you missed it again!" In the end we got some good ones (although she covered herself and his props in drool) and that's all that matters. Really I think we get better ones at home in her "natural" environment than we ever get at a photo studio...at least at this age.
Right now she's taking a nice nap. I'm going to get some things done around the house as we are off on fall break right now. Four day weekend for Mommy and Anna! Later this afternoon, perhaps, we'll do our own "5 month photo shoot" and I'll post some pictures from that.
