Sitting Up for Christmas!

Another busy week has gone by and Anna has mastered yet another great skill...sitting up. Yes, she can now sit on her own, but she is still a tiny bit wobbly! We call her Wobbles and her favorite toy is her penguin Waddles. They are quite a pair! Here are some sittin' up pictures:

"Look Mom I can do it!"
(Notice how drooly she is...her shirt was soaked in less than three minutes.)

She's chewy too.
Mmmmmm....
This was Anna on Saturday morning while Daddy and Mommy were trying to get ready to go to Iowa. She LOVES watching the fish, but her saucer isn't quite high enough so her high chair is perfect!
"I'm being good Mommy!"
Saturday and Sunday we were in Iowa. We drove down Saturday morning and Anna slept the whole way. It may have helped that she woke up at 5 AM and was well fed before we left around 8 AM.
Eating lunch after we got there.
Open wide for SQUASH!

Saturday afternoon we went to G & G S's house and hung out and then we went to Des Moines to meet up with a family friend and Aunt Joyce and Uncle Kevin and Cousins Jennifer and Jeff. They had not yet met Anna so it was fun to see them. We went out for supper and visited and Anna was a perfect angel! She even showed them how well she eats her supper! (Pictures of this are coming....**Kate?!) :-)
Sunday we celebrated Christmas with Great- G & G H. They go to Texas in the winter so it was Anna's first Christmas celebration. She also met her second Aunt Linda, Uncle Mike, Cousin Carrie and Jon. It was a fun time and I think Anna will be a professional by December and will be thrilled to open more presents!

Santa and Mrs. Claus even came to see Anna!
She was mostly interested in Santa's beard. She did surprisingly well. " These two are interesting...."
She even borrowed Mrs. Claus's hair for a while.

It was a great weekend. Lots of family time and of course more opportunities to be spoiled by Grandparents! Anna was a great traveler; we timed things well. Now we're back at home and gearing up for another week.
We've got an "easy" week in store. We are going to carve Anna's pumpkin one of these nights and she has to make some treats to take to daycare for Halloween. Then Saturday is her big debut as a penguin. She's pretty excited about her costume! I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures to share this week!
