First off, Anna wants to give a little shout out to her grandpa S and Auntie Kate on their birthday today! Happy birthday(s)!
Second, the reason for the title of this post is due to our little peanut becoming a little scooter. She's rolling all over the place and now, since she visited her friend Aaron, she thinks it's high time she learns how to crawl. She still has a LONG ways to go, but she has figured out how to get up on her hands and knees at the same time now. There were a couple days where she could get up on her knees, but then her arms would give out and she would be a tripod with her knees and her head on the carpeting. But now, she's getting closer. No major crawling movements yet, but she's definitely sliding around with her arms, but mostly backwards...that's just because she really pushes her arms out straight and then slides back. She's one determined little girl. I got some pictures of her progress tonight as proof :)
Ready to MOVE! (excuse the ick on the blanket she did just moments after we got onto the blanket)

Hands and knees...

I'm up...now what?

Time to rest....it's a lot of work to learn to crawl.

Shortly after her crawling practice she rolled off the blanket to play with her toys.

Pushing up...

Trying to push off the plant...

It looks like her foot is stuck, but I promise, it's not possible on that plant pot...she's just pushing harder to move without much success at this point.

I give up.

I'm too tired for this.

Cutie :)

This has been a busy week and last night we were tempted to take her to the doctor because she has a very raspy voice right now. No temp, no aversion to food, no runny nose, no other signs of illness, but just this really scratchy voice. It doesn't seem to bother her too much. Last night Brian went out and got a humidifier per the nurse's recommendation to help the throat. It's probably just the change from nice weather to blustery fall days. Hopefully she'll make a full recovery in the next couple days and get back her normal, solid loud voice. :)
This weekend is going to be a pretty laid back one. We don't have any major plans and will probably spend some good quality time together at home with our little family.
