I realize it's been a long time since our last post...and I promised in that post to have lots of pictures from Mother's Day weekend. Well, I do have lots of pictures...but they aren't on my computer, so I had to find time to steal Brian's computer to get them uploaded to the blog so I could share with all of you. This past weekend was a busy one with multiple celebrations piled into three days! We headed back to Iowa to celebrate Cousin Will's baptism, see everyone on Mother's Day and we also got to have an early birthday celebration for Anna.
Before we headed south for the weekend though, Anna (with Daddy's help of course) gave me some flowers for my planters and a Willow Tree Angel of Mother and Daughter for Mother's Day. She also signed her own card. It was a great first Mother's Day celebration. Last year on Mother's Day I was one day overdue and had really hoped to have a Mother's Day baby. I'm glad I didn't though, because May 15 was the perfect day for Anna to arrive!
Friday night we left for Iowa. Anna traveled pretty well. She's not a big fan, but as long as her tummy is full she'll sleep in the car.
Saturday we enjoyed doing a little shopping and eating and hanging out with both families. Nice relaxing day.
Sunday we got up early for church to see cousin Will's baptism. Anna didn't sit well through church. She made it through the baptism part (which was really early in the service) but then she took Mommy to the back of the church where she wanted to run in the lobby and play on the stairs. After church we came back for some pictures of course!

Everyone's favorite math teacher!
Family photo opp! Notice Anna is sleeping on Grandpa's shoulder.
Anna was so tired, she missed her morning nap, she found grandpa and cuddled in with him.
Tired girl.
Mommy and Anna on Mother's Day.
After the baptism celebration we went to G & G S's house and had an early birthday party for Anna. She was pretty pumped about presents.
A new jacket.
This giant box was a mystery...turns out it was a giant tent.
Her own cell phone.
And a new Iowa State sippy cup!
It's empty...
The new tent and tunnel all set up.
She and Chloe the kitty loved the tent.
Tunnel fun!
Sittin' in her tent.
"TIME FOR CAKE!!"
"Can I touch it?!"
Diving right in...
YUM.
What a polite girl...sharing with Daddy.
MMMMMMMM.
Messy hands. See it's all gone! She ate the whole thing!
I'm full!
Sam helped get the frosting off.
Washing hands after the frosting mess!
All clean...kind of. Her hair was a disaster and she smelled like vanilla frosting all day.
After cake she got to open more presents from Uncle James and Amanda. New shades!
She loved taking them off and trying to put them back on.
Testing out the new jacket.
Playing with Uncle James.
Uncle James dodging the drool!
Anna, James and Amanda.
Flying with Aunt Kate.
Walking with Grandpa.
Picking flowers.
Grandma and her daughters and granddaughter.
It was a busy weekend, but a fun one. Now we are gearing up for Anna's big first birthday party! We have a little celebrating to do almost everyday until Saturday. Dinner with lots of friends Thursday and Friday and more friends and family on Saturday. It will be a fun weekend!

Can you believe how fast the year went?!?! I can't believe how much 2 months changes them. The difference between Kallie and Anna is huge. Anna is so cute! Happy birthday, Anna!!!
