Nukless Night Number Two...

Tonight was a little rougher than last night.  I think the car ride home last night helped in getting her good and sleepy...tonight was much more difficult.

She didn't want to rock, she didn't want to be left alone in her crib...oh boy it was going to be interesting.

In the end, we did rock for a while, she went to sleep, I laid her down, she woke up and cried...we rocked some more, she was really deeply asleep, I laid her down, she instantly woke up, stood up, and cried.  So I helped her lay back down, and then she cried it out for about 10-15 minutes.

Obviously she was tired.

Obviously she needs to learn to pacify herself with no Nuk.

It's hard not to just give in...we know what will fix it...and ironically (after a year of always searching for one Nuk of the 100 we have) we have a pile of Nuks sitting on the kitchen counter...

  1. Poor girl! Stay strong mommy and daddy, stay strong! I'm nervous our problem will be breaking the bottle.

  2. I vote for following your gut...a nuk at night isn't that big of a deal...especially if she now makes it through the day without one...that's how we got Nathan off the bottle...we did nights until he was 18 months...if I told people that, they thought I was weird, but he needed it to sleep and eventually he just let it go...
