Anna's really developing her personality and has a great sense of humor. Last night was pizza night and we were being lazy and eating while watching a movie. I had the ranch dressing (for dipping of the crust of course) and Brian wanted some, so I gave it to Anna and said, "Take this to Daddy." And as she has been doing so well lately, she walked over to Brian, started to hand him the ranch and as he reached for it, she pulled away and ran off giggling. She repeated this about five times, thinking she was the funniest person in the world, and the first to think of faking him out with the ranch. We both were laughing, which only made her want to do it more! Funny girl...tricky girl!
Anna has also been doing some learning lately...she has learned where to go when it's "time to change her diaper." She walks right back to her room and sits down waiting for you to take out her diaper, etc. Then when you're all done, you can give her the wrapped up diaper and ask her to put it away...she grabs it and takes it over to the diaper genie, opens the lid, and sends that stinky diaper on it's way!
It's been a nice start to the three-day weekend. We've enjoyed lots of Anna time, gotten lots of errands run and enjoyed the nice weather.
On to the pictures...
Our little princess's hair is getting really long and really fun! She sports the pig tails many times throughout the week. Here she has some fancy bows from Jana!
Stop taking my picture mom (she can be a little bossy and sassy).
It's hard to tell from the picture, but this is Anna "stomping her feet" because she's happy and she knows it!
Lounging on the bed...
Watching some cartoons. (Ironically, she pushed the right buttons to change the channel from the news to some cartoons and then she just laid and enjoyed being on the big bed.)
We had a little photo-shoot before supper was ready tonight. The many faces of Anna...
She's giving me the evil eye!
Just kidding mom!
Squinty.
I do believe this was her first attempt to "blow a kiss." This is the latest trick we've been practicing, she's way into giving hugs and kisses, so we though she'd really love blowing kisses, but she mostly just bites her hand right now...then giggles.
Too busy watching mom to get the cup in her mouth.
Still watching mom too much...going to miss the sippy cup spout.
I'm hungry mom, stop taking pictures and feed me.
Bored.
And I think she's done.
Very done.
Finally food! Anna has really been great this week about using her plate nicely. No more dumping it on her head! YAY! She eats everything off her plate, then picks it up and hands it to me, and signs "more." She's a good little eater! This week we also picked up some more spoons and forks just Anna's size. She really wanted to use the spoon tonight, but just couldn't quite get things to stay on it. We helped her put things on her spoon and then she easily got them to her mouth. She's growing up so fast!
Taking the food off the spoon to eat with her fingers.
Our little princess went to bed early tonight, she was tired. She's been staying up later and later every night and I think it finally caught up to her. She's had some good nights going to bed easily since our Thursday night fiasco--didn't mention it on here yet, but basically Anna didn't sleep in her bed at all Thursday night, she was upset about something...we're not sure if it was teeth, a bad dream, or what, but she was NOT going to sleep in her bed and she didn't sleep all that well with us either, none of us did. So we were thankful when on Friday night she went right back to her regular routine. It's really hard to stray from that sleeping through the night thing...
Oh sweet heavens, those bows are ADORABLE!!! She looks so much like you there!
