Happy relaxing weekend.
As I'm typing, we're still working on going to bed like a big girl in our big girl room. She's not fussing as much, mostly playing. But I know she's tired (eye rubbing, yawning, etc) and will fall asleep eventually. She's getting better.
This weekend we were able to catch up on some things that have been needing to be done for a while and since Anna's now 1 and a "big girl" we did a little rearranging to her room. We designated more of a play area and moved the big comfy chair over to more of a cozy area, closer to the door as it starts making it's way out of the room altogether (we're just not 100% ready to say goodbye to the chair yet, we still love rocking and cuddling!). We also did a complete overhaul of her closet and dresser pulling out all the 12 month stuff and saying goodbye. We now have two large totes and two garbage bags, plus some other random things sitting in the guest room waiting to be stored for a while. It's unbelievable the amount of baby stuff we have that we only used for such a short time! Most of it we haven't used in months! The next project at our house will be figuring out a way to store it all without having it cramp the rest of our living spaces. (We don't have much storage in our 100% finished split level home.)
So on to the pictures. Got a few of her enjoying her new play area tonight.
Playing with her kitchen.
Feeding her baby doll.
Feeding herself.
Feeding Mommy.
Enjoying her reading area.
The play zone.
The cozy zone.
The closet. We have TOO many blankets piled up on top...with this weather we won't be using them for a while!
Anna likes to put on her life vest to make sure it fits. She's ready for summer!
Lookin' good!
Goofy girl! It's so hot and HUMID. Not only does Anna drool all over herself, but now she's sweaty and sticky too. It's kind of fun though, with the humidity, her hair is all curly in the back.
Up close.
It was a nice weekend, getting lots of things done. We always have plenty on our list of things to do to keep us busy all weekend and for many weekends to come.
After all that typing, Anna's asleep and resting peacefully. It's tough to stick to our plan...although today we made it easier by putting all the Nuks in the baby stuff for storage. Although, a better plan, might be to just throw them away so we aren't tempted to bust it out again...
She is such a big girl!!! I love the play corner and cozy corners of her room...what a big room!!! Kallie's hair curls from the humidity too and it is so cute!! (she is going to hate that as an adult:-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a big girl is right! I swear she is at least 18 months every time I see pictures of her!!! She is so advanced in her development and as tall as a kindergartner!!!!!! We can't wait to see her again!
