Just a nice little story to share:
As described in the previous post, we spent Saturday night in a hotel after the wedding. Anna's pack and play was set up between the two beds in our room, near the bedside table. Anna went to bed fairly well around 8:30 and did make a few noises around 5:30, but went back to sleep. Brian and I were exhausted as the night before Anna woke up at 12:00 and didn't go back to sleep until probably after 2 AM. We were sleeping very deeply on Sunday morning when I woke up to my phone ringing. I looked at my phone and was very confused...it said Brian was calling me. However, he was sleeping right next to me in the bed. Without rolling over, I said, "Brian, why is your phone calling mine?" And he said, "I don't know" and rolled over to find Anna standing up in her pack and play with his phone in her hand. Apparently we didn't even hear her playing and she decided that calling us was the only way to get us to wake up. Luckily my number was the last one that was called on his phone, otherwise, some other lucky person may have gotten their own wake-up call. :) After handing Daddy his phone, she reached down into her pack and play and also handed him his glasses. Note to self: Anna's arms are long, double check how close you place her pack and play to the phones.
Omgosh that is HILARIOUS!!! LOVING IT! made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI seriously laughed out loud while I read this! I hope Kallie does as well sleeping in a pack and play with mommy and daddy in the room because it could be a long weekend otherwise. We are going to be in Dubuque for a wedding at the same place.
