Christmas Party with the Murray's!

After yet another busy week (I think I say that every weekend), we had a nice relaxing weekend. I think we are starting to live for the less hectic weekends. Our weeks are so packed with work and school and meetings and supper and baths and getting ready for the next day of all of the above! We love every minute of it, but we love when it all slows down on Saturday morning!

We slept in on Saturday morning and lounged around most of the morning. We enjoyed the down time. Saturday night we had a big Christmas party to go to, so we were excited! I made a Peppermint Swirl Cheesecake and it was delicious. Anna was very excited to go to the party because she was anxious to see her friend Maura again. It had been three months or so since they had been together!

We had a great time at the party; Scott and Anne were great hosts. We had wonderful food and of course there was always great entertainment. Scott and Anne have two really nice puppies...Oscar and Lulu. Anna LOVES dogs. She just squeals with delight whenever there is one nearby. She does the same for our kitties, but they show less love and interest in her.

As I mentioned, Anna was also excited to see her friend Maura. Maura was born 2 months and 1 day after Anna. It's fun to see the girls together and see how much they are changing and growing so quickly! Maura was a giggly little girl!

Anna started to get really tired around 9:00. Not surprising as her bed time is 8:00. So she started to fall asleep...

And she cuddled in and slept for about an hour.

After her little siesta, she woke up and played with the puppies for a long time. Anna was up WAY past her bedtime. We got home late, she went straight from her car seat to her bed and then slept in until 10:00 this morning! It was a nice morning to sleep in!

Today we went bowling with some of Daddy's friends from work and then came home and got things done here. We made some of the carrots that my teacher friend gave to me into baby food and now we have carrots to add to our list of frozen goodies!

Tomorrow is Monday. It will be good to get back to our regular schedule...especially after a late night last night, but we're excited for another weekend! This is another busy week...daddy has a meeting tomorrow night, mommy on Wednesday. Then Thursday daddy goes bowling and Friday is the weekend! Grandma and Grandpa F are coming up this weekend, so we are anxious for their visit! We are hoping to go to the Holidazzle parade next weekend. Another great Anna Adventure! Of course we'll take pictures!
